The World Master Chefs Society has evolved from the International Academy of Chefs founded in 1947, by the past world president Mr. Jean Conil, who passed away in 2000. In addition to an illustrious career as a master Chef, Mr. Conil was a successful author of over 100 cookery books. He was also a cookery writer for the London Times and food consultant to a number of multi-national food companies in London's famous retail food store Fortnum and Mason.

The Society now reaches senior chefs Worldwide with Chapters across the globe including USA, Canada, Japan and many in Europe. With reputable chefs being awarded both the "Fellow" status and "Member" grade, the Society has begun looking to the new generation of talent within the industry with the "Graduate" memberships.

At the World Master Chef Society our main objectives are the promotion of the art and science of fine cuisine, creativity and production, education through demonstrations, product endorsements, promoting the interests and recognition of Master Chefs and others within the culinary profession. The Society actively supports the high standards of culinary excellence in every field of food production
